To say 2018 has been a whirlwind is an understatement. I’ve been drinking from the firehose for more than two years with no end in sight – little time for marketing, website upkeep, biz planning, and pretty much anything that isn’t this-needs-to-be-done-right-now. And while I love to be in the trenches working in the business, I haven’t found much time to work on the business, to reflect on how far it’s come and to plan for the future. I was so busy taking each day as it came that I lost the vision that inspired this venture in the first place.
Fortunately, fall brings with it a few slower weeks for me to regroup and refocus. There’s also a special energy in the changing of the leaves that ignites the creative in me and stirs up an enthusiasm that I tend to have lost as summer ends. With this burst of energy, I tackled a few big things:
- New website!! Thanks to Lindsay at Made to Thrive (developer) and Mattie at Green Tie Studio (designer), we have a beautiful new website I’d love for you to poke around on. We’re so excited to have a new home that reflects who we are and to showcase the work we’re doing.
- New warehouse!! We were bursting at the seams and decided it was time to move our mess into a bigger space with room to grow. We’re also going to host a warehouse sale in the next few weeks so be sure to check Instagram for details.
- New person!! I’m so excited to introduce the newest member of Copeland + Co., Jessica Aspen. She is our Design Lead and your go-to person on staging day. When she’s not slinging sofas or chopping pillows, you can find her raising three feminist sons or hunting the best cup of coffee in town.
We’ll have lots of design goodness to see here in the coming weeks so sure to stop back by.
Cheers!
Kat
